  • summary: These are preliminary results from a system in active development. They are presented for information purposes only and should not be used for scientific analysis. ROMS ECCOFS 3km, 2023. Run Date: 2024-08-26 to 2024-09-01. Approximately 3 km resolution and 50 levels. Initial and boundary conditions, as well as climatology, are from global 1/12 Mercator daily averages with bias correction of sea surface height. Surface forcings are from ECMWF ERA5 0.25 deg hourly reanalysis. River discharges are from ECMWF Global Flood Awareness System (GloFAS) v4. Harmonic tides along the open boundaries are from OSU Tidal Prediction Software (OTPS). Atmospheric pressure correction (ATM_PRESS) has been applied, ERA5 Pair has been modified to extrapolate values over water into adjacent land mask to avoid creating coastal pressure gradient. Wind speed relative velocity was used (UWIND_MINUS_CURRENT).
