Description:

  • summary: Physical-biological dynamics of the North American east coast continental Shelf: ************* Output from ROMS NENA (North East North American domain) with ROMS cpp-options BIO_FASHAM, DENITRIFICATION, CARBON and OXYGEN enabled. The nitrogen cycle equations as well as biological parameters are given in Fennel et al. (2006), except for the remineralization rate of small detritus (rSD), which was increased from 0.03 to 0.4 day^-1, the sinking rate of large detritus (wLDet), which was increased from 1 to 5 m day^-1, the maximum rate of nitrification (nmax), which was increased from 0.05 to 0.2 day^-1, and the aggregation parameter (?), which we doubled. This simulation and the inorganic carbon option are described in Fennel et al. (2008). Overview publications are Hofmann et al. (2007) and Rothstein et al. (2006).
